2007 Nissan Sentra Horn & Cruise Control Don’t Work

I am posting this in case you own a 2007 Nissan Sentra and just noticed that your cruise control and horn stopped  working all of a sudden. What you likely have going on is failure of the electrical contacts between the steering column and the steering wheel itself. This problem is not just with Nissan Sentra, but it can happen with almost any vehicle out there. If you own a vehicle with radio volume controls on the steering wheel you might notice those not working as well. Many automotive manufactures have different names for them. With Nissan they simply call it a combination switch. You will likely have to get a switch like this from a Nissan dealer as I did for this Nissan Sentra . I hope this helps you, thanks for visiting.

Yes very helpful. First the tire pressure icon stayed red even when I had tires filled so I put something over it because Nissan said it would cost $240 to fix (nope not paying that much I’ll check air pressure myself) then the cruise control stopped working. When I tried to use the other controls on the steering wheel (get this) the Horn honked touching any of the controls. The volume control stopped and soon everything on the steering wheel stopped working and the “Horn” doesn’t work at all.

Someone looked into the fuses for each control and the fuses were not burnt out. I don’t want to bring it to Nissan because last time I brought it in they damaged the hood and wouldn’t take responsibility. So what should I do? Can’t drive without a “Horn.” Maybe someone could answer this for me: the black around the bottom of the windows is peeling terribly and looks terrible. What can I do for that?

Please someone help me! Thanks so much and stay well.

    Hello
It sounds like you need to replace the whole combination switch as mentioned in the post. If you don’t want to go to the dealership an independent auto repair shop could certainly handle the job.
As far as the peeling around the moldings go sounds like you might need to replace them. Hope this helps. Please visit and subscribe to my YouTube channel called Boulays Garage Joe Boulay. You will find lots of helpful information there too. Also Boulays garage on Facebook. Good luck to you
